story of a passion
2005 – …today
A modern story
This is a modern story, even if it has a much more remote basis, a passion that began, or rather, I would say, started many years ago, in 1975.
My company was founded in 2005 with the intention of offering support to the many passionate self-builders by offering the best components on the market but especially by creating kits to be assembled for those who had difficulty in finding carpenters able to assist them adequately. But this was just the beginning of an idea, the beginning of a much more important path. I’ve always looked for a sound in the speakers, a personal timbre, a voice, as natural as possible, alive, regardless of the type of project, a voice I wanted and I didn’t always find. And I started studying many components, some of the best in the world, listening, copying, experimenting and building. And I’ve always tried to do something new, to put in my own, something personal. Putting ideas into practice that sometimes seemed impossible.
During these years many important loudspeakers have been realized, starting the review of the Nagaoka D-37 (2004) where the final part of the horn has been redesigned. 2005 is the year of TQPW E. J. Jordan with Tractrix front trumpet. It is also the year of a very important studio, the Open Baffle with the beautiful PHY-HP H30 LB 15 SAG, a speaker that has made history. In 2006 one of the biggest speakers for Lowther PMs was made, the modified Opus One R12 with Tractrix horn. The following year, 2007, a large diffuser was created, in all senses, size and beauty. The STREGA! An Open Baffle of rare beauty, with an 18″; (460mm) coaxial driver with 2″; titanium driver custom made for this project. Presented at the High-End Milan in 2008. In 2008 another very complicated project started, the Teti, presented at Top Audio in 2010 and at Munchen High-End in 2016. 2012 will see the start of work on what will be one of the most colossal loudspeakers ever made, the RU-1506 studio monitor, impressive in size and sound.
Important steps to get to today with an extraordinary monitor for sound quality, the M12a.
A small but intense story.
